Monitoring and control of aluminium rim heat treatment plants
SIMOLLA project aims to develop a digital platform, called Llanta Trazer, that allows complete monitoring of aluminium rim heat treatment plants based on Big Data and IoT technologies.

The rim production process will be optimized through the management of the information obtained by the sensorization process of multiple equipment of the heat treatment line.

Specifically, this project focuses several action areas:

  • Control of rim defects
  • Rim discrimination and positioning system
  • Synchronization of load
  • Temperature homogeneity

Hence, a software based on Data Analytics techniques and advanced control algorithms will be developed. The application of these advanced technologies of 3D detection and measurement systems for parts will allow to measure the temperature inside the furnaces by thermographic techniques. Therefore, quality controls will be carried out without affecting the production.
