Wall of Ideas: Our Year in Highlights
We kicked things off with the Wall of Ideas, where everyone got to share their thoughts on two fun questions:
- What was your GHI ‘wow moment’ this year? 🤩
- If GHI had a theme song for 2024, what would it be? 🎶
The answers were inspiring! From proud moments serving our clients to innovative breakthroughs, our team’s passion shone through.
And the winning song? “I Will Survive“ – a perfect anthem for our resilience and humor. As one team member put it, “We don’t just survive; we thrive together!”
Marshmallow Challenge: A Fun Twist on Teamwork
What do marshmallows and light fixtures have in common? For one creative team, they were the key to victory in the Marshmallow Challenge. They built an impressive 2.73-meter tower, cleverly using a light fixture to hold it all together.
This wasn’t just about having fun (although we had plenty!). It showcased the creativity and problem-solving skills that define how we tackle challenges at GHI every day.
Luis Pasamontes: Insights from the Road
We were thrilled to welcome former pro cyclist Luis Pasamontes, who delivered an inspiring keynote titled “Conquering Challenges Together.” He shared ten valuable lessons on teamwork and trust that resonated with us all.
Luis reminded us that teamwork is more than just working side by side; it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to shine. His insights inspired us to bring these principles into our daily work at GHI.
Celebrating Our Achievements
During the afternoon, José Berasategui reflected on our incredible achievements in 2024:
- Featured on the cover of EMPRESA XXI.
- Winners of the PYME Bizkaia 2023 award.
- Honored at the Factories of the Future Awards 2024.
- Finalists for the National PYME of the Year Award.
He celebrated our team’s dedication and highlighted how our investments in sustainability and global partnerships are paving the way for continued success.
To wrap things up, José shared an adapted version of Paco Muro’s story, “The Pen That Couldn’t Write“. The story is about a white pen that felt overlooked because it didn’t seem to write on regular paper. But when its unique talent was discovered—writing beautifully on dark surfaces—it became clear that what once seemed like a flaw was actually its greatest strength.
José connected this story to GHI, emphasizing that everyone has a unique purpose. Like that white pen, each team member contributes something special to our success. His message inspired us to embrace our individuality while working together to create something extraordinary.
